Who else has seen "Rise of the Guardians"? I have....and I absolutely loved it!

All in all, life has been good so far. How is everyone? I'm still working on my research paper.

Anyone going to go see "The Hobbit"? Me and my dad are....I'm so excited!!

Long Time, No Write

Hey everyone!
Sorry about not updating.

Okay.......
1. NaNoWriMo is done and I, sadly, did not finish my book on time BUT I got up to around 20,000 words!
2. Went to two professional soccer games. Both were amazing and I got really great photographs!
3. I have decided to do my absolute best to get into Oxford for neuroscience/psychology. Wish me luck!
4. I have the coolest friends! =D
5. School has literally taken over my life right now, along with my research paper.
6. For language arts, we do something called "The Writers Notebook" where we basically write four pages of whatever. I decided to write a poem for one of the pages.
Turns out, I did a short story called "Poetry Slam: Words in Motion" (The Bronx Masquerade gave me the idea) I did a segment from the story and it's pretty bad since I was rushing it but the poem I wrote.....I really like it.

But it's not like he'll ever care.

my other half.
His sweet smile,
The way he says my name,

About Me

Hi,
My name is Rachael and this is my blog....obviously. I will be posting small writings (maybe some poems), pictures, and just things that go on in my ordinary life.
I began taking photos in 2008 and I've had an obsession with it. I recently got a FujiFilm 24x camera. With it, I mostly take pictures of nature and sunsets because they are captivating. I hope to become more advanced in my photo taking skills soon. 
Writing. I found my love of writing two years ago (2010). Since then, I can't stop writing. I'll write short poems, long poems, short stories, and I'm currently working on a novel. Or make that two. I participate in something called NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) each year. The novel I'm writing this year is a romance novel (not all the mushy-gushy stuff), which is something I've never tried to do. The title is Among the Leaves.

What else to tell?

3. I'm a percussionist at school
4. I play lacrosse
5. I'm a huge reader
